Sarah Earney Architecture & Conservation is a London-based practice specialising in conservation and contemporary design in historic contexts.
I enjoy investigating and understanding why and how a building or place was built and developed and I believe that the history of buildings should inform their present and future. Working in the fields of conservation and contemporary design, a well-researched understanding of a building or place will always begin a project before knitting new proposals into the existing fabric. In designing new buildings and extensions I aim to balance the needs of the historic with the modern, revealing layers of history and crafting elements of old and new into a coherent whole.
I am a registered conservation architect skilled at working with contemporary works within and adjacent to listed buildings, scheduled monuments and other historic places. I am also a Quinquennial Inspector to a number of churches within the Diocese of London.
The practice was established in 2019 and trades as a limited company.
